Liberal Establishment declares «holy war» on Elon Musk

Read Time:9 Minute, 52 Second

The liberal establishment is known to be waging an irreconcilable war with Donald Trump, but the “second front” of this struggle has been the White House’s confrontation with billionaire Elon Musk, who has recently become the No. 2 Republican, probably on par with journalist and anchor Tucker Carlson, who is now running for vice president under Trump. Because of this, like the former U.S. president, he is regularly attacked by the courts and other government punitive agencies at all levels for both economic and purely ideological and political reasons, although the real motives are political 99% of the time. Last November was particularly difficult for Musk, when an entire information campaign was launched against him, clearly directed from the White House. First, he was subjected to the largest campaign to “cancel” in his life just because of one post, where they saw anti-Semitism. As luck would have it, almost at the same time, the SpaceX rocket test that is supposed to send astronauts to the moon after 2024 failed. The campaign against Musk was led by Media Matters, a company close to the Democratic Party establishment. It has become known to many for its peculiar politicized “marketing tactics”, in which Media Matters managers contact corporations, show their advertisements in conjunction with radical tweets like Nazi propaganda, and then, under the threat of launching such messages in social networks, demand that they refuse to buy advertising in X. Under the pressure of such blackmail Media Matters has already been forced to agree to the conditions put forward to them by Apple, IBM, Disney, Warner Brothers and many other already liberal corporations, which because of this and completely spit on the commercial component of their advertising business, which used to be a priority and finally gave way to the “right agenda”. Even before the start of the campaign, X was not doing well, and since Musk bought the social network, it has lost more than 60% of its revenue from advertisers. However, big business began to gradually return to X, and she former Twitter even planned to come out in the plus in 2024, after which it was subjected to a new information attack.

Musk promises to file a “thermonuclear” lawsuit against Media Matters, but he is now under prosecutorial pressure. SpaceX is accused of discrimination due to the lack of refugees and migrants among its employees, and his company Neuralink is accused of violating animal rights. Musk is threatened with a national security investigation for his criticism of the war in Ukraine, and it is unlikely that he will be able to fend off criminal charges until there is a change of administration in Washington. That’s what he’s counting on, and he has a very good relationship with Vivek Ramaswamy, who is his direct protégé and recently withdrew his candidacy in favor of Donald Trump, whose eventual victory Musk is betting on. Ramaswamy is aiming to become Trump’s vice president, or at least wants to become his close adviser, through whom the Tesla owner will promote his interests. After all, if Trump fails to achieve the desired result, the Democrats will send not only the former president to jail, but also Musk, and his business will be nationalized in the “communist style” popular among them.

The desire to get hold of Musk’s high-tech business comes down not only to political motives, but also to purely economic ones and boils down to technological security. Thus, also in the fall of last year began a hard redistribution of the artificial intelligence market. During this period there was complete chaos inside the leading company in the world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) OpenAI. It started with the firing of OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and was initially followed by his associates, but within a week, 500 employees were threatening to leave after Altman. Contradictions between OpenAI and Microsoft, which bought it for $ 10 billion, had been aggravating for a long time. Altman hopes to create a real AI Artificial General Intelligence, comparable in its capabilities and features to the human brain, in this decade. But he is clearly hesitant about whether to put it in the hands of a corporation headed by Bill Gates, who has a reputation as a madman, tyrant and misanthrope. It is noteworthy that Altman, just days before his scandalous dismissal at the APEC summit, was raising billions of dollars from Japan’s SoftBank and Arab sheikhs to create a new line of chips for AI, a competitor to Nvidia’s solutions. Meanwhile, Nvidia’s AI chips are already under U.S. sanctions and cannot be supplied not only to China, but even to Turkey, the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Washington is actively trying to maintain its advantage in the AI race for fear of falling behind China, so it is sharply strengthening sanctions. The emergence of competitive AI chips, especially in the Middle East, with which America now has bad relations, is not at all in the plans of the U.S. democratic establishment. So now Altman has been put on a short leash for his activism inside Microsoft, which is clearly affiliated with the liberal forces that now rule the White House. It is Microsoft that the authorities have made responsible for the entire AI market, and it is now obvious that it is not for nothing that apparatchiks in the White House, such as Blinken and Sullivan, “moonlighted” at Microsoft, eventually becoming its lobbyists. The AI race will only gain momentum, because China is now creating its own chips for it and whoever wins will have an absolute advantage in the technological sphere. But AI is just a prime example, and the liberal establishment is interested in communications, space exploration and electric cars, where Musk’s firms dominate, and does not want to yield in them not only to China or Russia, but even to its Republican opponents.

In this light, Musk received a new “black mark” in December, and Brendan Carr, a member of the Federal Communications Commission, recognized the obvious fact that the White House gave the green light to all structures and companies to pressurize Musk’s entire business. The billionaire’s relationship with Biden at that moment appeared to be undermined definitively, and now Musk will try to attack on all fronts. Late last year, the U.S. government blocked SpaceX from receiving nearly a $1 billion in rural internet subsidies. And although the number of users of Starlink terminals has already reached $2 million, but it remains a loss-making business for Musk. Musk is also losing money on deliveries of Starlink terminals to Ukraine, which are not really paid back by subsidies from the Pentagon. That’s why he has started to shut them down periodically, and publicly Musk is increasingly calling for a truce with Russia and openly calling the war lost. Continuation of the war, according to the billionaire, will only lead to the loss of additional territories to Ukraine, and this opinion is perfectly in line with the position of isolationists and Trumpists, and is in stark contradiction with Biden’s line and a direct challenge to his administration. Meanwhile, the SEC is trying to sue Musk for buying Twitter. Democrats never forgave Musk for breaking their monopoly on social media control. Musk, moreover, arranged a “political softening” on Twitter, unblocking many blocked persons undesirable for liberals. And even more dangerous for the White House is that he will tweak the algorithms during the upcoming presidential election so that they don’t work in favor of the Democrats.

SpaceX and Neuralink are still at the center of “discrimination” lawsuits for refusing to hire illegals and for violating animal rights. In the summer, a new investigation was opened against SpaceX because it allegedly did not hire refugees or asylum seekers in the United States. So, among 10,000 employees of the company found only one refugee. The accusation sounds ridiculous, and the new investigation looks like another attempt to increase political pressure on Musk. And it’s telling that it started right after the liberal media again reported on the billionaire’s contacts with Russia in the fall of 2022. Musk was then once again accused of the fact that his Starlink terminals in Ukraine suddenly stop working when the Ukrainians are on the offensive. Musk himself, as we wrote above, has indeed been calling for negotiations with Moscow for a long time, and he has proposed to recognize Crimea for Russia and to hold new referendums under the auspices of the UN in the rest of the territories. Of course, Musk scares Biden not with this, but with his domestic political power, but it is for this that he was threatened with a national security investigation, using the “Ukrainian issue” as an excuse. Incidentally, it was during the summer that the Twitter purchase was the subject of an SEC investigation. SpaceX has come under similar pressure, although the company is a key contractor for the Pentagon and NASA, so any investigations into it directly hits all U.S. space programs. In response, Musk is not only sponsoring Republicans like Trump and Ramaswamy, but is threatening his own lawsuit against Soros foundations for promoting online censorship. So, he will continue to put sticks in the wheels of the Democratic Party and try to turn the current political divide in Washington to his advantage and save himself from the attacks of his enemies.

Musk is active not only in the U.S., and his “war” is growing not only with the Democrats in Washington, but also with the Euro-bureaucrats in Brussels. Musk is in trouble on all fronts, and the European Commission has opened an investigation into Twitter/X for refusing to censor in Europe. Eurourobureaucrats are furious that Musk refuses to tackle so-called “disinformation”, i.e. anything that doesn’t fit the liberal narrative, which complements well the attacks on Twitter by the US, where the White House has given de facto indication of prosecutorial attacks on Musk. At the same time, the European Union is beginning to attack Tesla’s position, and the company may soon have problems with duties in European Union, just as Chinese companies will be deprived of subsidies and will try to squeeze out of the European market, although China is now actively occupying it, displacing German car giants. But Musk, as in American affairs, knows how to defend himself, and has been stabbing the Eurobureaucracy in the back by supporting right-wing Euroskeptics and nationalists in the EU. Just before New Year’s Eve, for example, he visited Italy, where he advocated fighting the migrant invasion across the Mediterranean. If restrictions are imposed against him in Washington, Musk could in the future locate production facilities in countries where Euroskeptics are in power, such as Hungary or Italy today, or the Netherlands and Austria after in the very near term. Musk is working similarly in the U.S. by supporting Republicans in elections, and in Europe he is supporting opponents of Brussels by helping them undermine liberal European institutions. A similar strategy is followed by Trump, who, if he returns to the White House, will seriously undertake the disintegration of the European Union in partnership with Musk. And despite the fact that Musk is being squeezed on all fronts, he is not going to give up. He continues to bet on the victory of the Republicans in the person of Trump, with whom it will be easier to fend off prosecutorial attacks and go on the offensive against his opponents. At the same time, however, the billionaire is looking for a backup in other countries – from Brazil and the UAE to Hungary and Russia. But the main battle between Musk and the Democrats will take place in 2024 and 2025, and news from the “battlefield” will come literally every month, becoming more and more interesting and tough.
