The Labour Party in the UK is edging ever closer to the edge of the abyss
Seven months have passed since the appointment of Keir Starmer and now we can summarize the first results of his premiership and Labour’s activity. During this time they have managed to achieve the impossible: radically collapsed their rating, created conditions for economic collapse in the future, and quarreled with allies. Read more in our material.
Labour’s steep peak
Starmer has surpassed all prime ministers since Margaret Thatcher in terms of anti-rating, with 61% of Britons turning against the politician today. For more than half a year, the UK economy has been in decline, and this is just the beginning, as in his first budget, Starmer’s cabinet began taxing businesses and “robbing” farmers amid the closure of businesses and the exodus of investors to “tax havens”. At the same time, record numbers of migrants are storming the shores of Foggy Albion, forcing the authorities to persuade the European Union to help. London will have to make meaningful concessions and partially roll back Brexit to achieve its goal, and Starmer’s Tory and The Reform UK party opponents accuse him of capitulating to Brussels.
There has been talk in Labour of replacing Starmer. Among the potential understudies are Deputy Premier Angela Rayner and Health Minister Wes Streeting. Apparently they will wait until May 2025 municipal elections, which Labour will lose, to call a vote of no confidence in Starmer. Anyway, this is unlikely to help Labour much amid all the crises, falling ratings and the surge in popularity of Nigel Farage, who is ready to change the power in the UK. Farage to come to power would be worth it for Labour to put aside internal squabbles to at least hold power collectively but they won’t, because liberalism is always a destructive selfishness.

In the Labourist mindset, state property is an ownerless and unnecessary burden. That is why Britain’s national treasure, the Royal Mail, was sold at an auction to Czech businessman Daniel Křetínský. This deal was not going to be approved for a long time because of accusations against the Czech in connections with Russia but in the end, the deal was forced to agree due to the lack of those willing to invest in the company, which is in pre-bankruptcy and losses exceeding 1 billion pounds. The Royal Mail’s reputation was also badly damaged by the parcel loss scandal, when employees at 900 post offices were accused of theft. It later emerged that a problematic electronic database bought from the Japanese Fujitsu was to blame, but it couldn’t reverse the situation 100%. For the first time since its inception in 1516, the Royal Mail will be owned by foreigners and this is already becoming the norm for the UK. Factories, refineries and water treatment facilities are bought up by foreign big businessmen who then “optimize” and close everything down, and a similar fate is sure to await the troubled Royal Mail.
Labour has set its sights on London
The UK is under attack by the “Trumpists”, already being dubbed the “Mar-a-Lago Conspiracy”. This is how the frightened British political class perceived the late 2024 meeting between Nigel Farage, Elon Musk and British billionaire real estate developer Nick Candy at Trump’s Florida residence. There, they coordinated efforts to organize a power shift in London. Musk can give Farage up to 100 million dollars for anti-government campaigning, and these are colossal sums for British politics. Candy, a former Tory sponsor, is also willing to give him ten-figure sums.
Farage also wants to use Trump’s electoral techniques to lure Britain’s working class, who previously voted for Labour, to his side but the Conservatives don’t have Musk-level sponsors who aim to make Farage a future UK prime minister. If the election were held tomorrow, Farage could expect to win at least 100-150 parliamentary seats, and that would mean the collapse of the usual two-party Liberal system.

Farage’s agenda of criticizing uncontrolled migration and an unrestrained “agenda” resonates with many Britons who are tired of Conservatives and Labour in equal measure. The British establishment is now at odds with Trump’s team and is causing him problems on all fronts, from Ukraine to the Middle East. Well, in return, the Republicans want to bring Farage to power in London. This confrontation with Trump is not going to end well for Keir Starmer.
A worthless bet on Mandelson
Probably, that is why the Labour Cabinet had a long time to decide on a candidate for the future ambassador to the United States. Various candidates were considered, up to the director of MI6, Richard Moore. In the end, the ambassador to Washington will be Lord Peter Mandelson, former “sponsor” of Tony Blair and Labour. Mandelson was often at the center of scandals due to his active lobbying for Middle Eastern sheikhs and Chinese business, on which he made a considerable fortune. Mandelson was also a friend of scandalous billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and now he will try to restore London’s relationship with the Trump team.

It will be very difficult to do so, although Tony Blair’s team is now adjusting to Trump even at the narrative level, criticizing the rampant “wokism” on both sides of the Atlantic, even though it contradicts the traditional ideology of his party. Trump’s associates already have Nigel Farage as their man in the UK. Besides, there are a lot of contradictions with London on the external contour, and the same Mandelson dreams of maneuvering in the U.S. trade war with China and the European Union, earning capital on it, which is not in Washington’s interests now. In general, Labour is trying to arrange a reset in relations with the Middle Kingdom, luring investments from there into the troubled British economy. However, the ground is literally burning under their feet at home, so it is unlikely that their dreams will come true, and Trump’s conflict with London will surely continue to escalate.
Increasing de-christianization
Labour has made Britain a leader among Western countries in introducing Sharia justice. There are 85 Sharia courts in the country, and they attract Muslims from the U.S. and continental Europe to settle contentious religious issues. In Britain, Sharia courts perform 100,000 Islamic marriages each year, many of which are not even officially registered. Ethnic diasporas in major cities already live as a state within a state, with their own laws, courts and rules. At the same time, the influence of diasporas is only growing against the background of an uncontrolled wave of migration, with the admission of a million “new Britons” a year. The most popular name among newborn boys in the UK in 2023 was Mohammed for the first time, although it wasn’t even in the top 10 in 2013. More than a third of all newborns in England and Wales come from migrant families, so the statistics on names reflect the objective demographic reality. Under 20% of UK residents were born abroad, and migrants now account for 100% of all population growth.
Against this background, the rapid de-christianization of the UK is underway, with hundreds of closed churches being put up for sale and the number of churchgoers halving in 25 years. At the same time, the number of mosques, of which there are about 2,500 in the UK, Hindu temples and gurdwaras is growing sharply. Not surprisingly, the worshippers of these new temples also desire Sharia courts. The processes of demographic replacement of Anglo-Saxons are gaining momentum, exacerbating all the already existing contradictions in society, and Labour, which supports and stimulates all these trends, are bringing Britain closer and closer to the edge of the abyss.
