Labor is “getting Britain down”

Read Time:6 Minute, 27 Second

The Tories led the country into crisis during their 14 years in power. The coming to power of Labor gave hope for improvement of the situation. However, the first initiatives of the left-liberals showed that they are more likely to bring the crisis to a terminal stage.

Total disarmament

Labour is “modernizing” Britain according to its bizarre left-liberal plan. First and foremost, for reasons of destructive “pacifist” populism and budgetary austerity, they are destroying the Royal Air Force.

Against the backdrop of a severe budget crisis, Keir Starmer’s cabinet continues to “scrap” the ambitious military contracts awarded during the 14 years of Tory rule. The priority program for the purchase of F-35 fighter jets was under attack because of a lack of money. The British originally planned to buy 138 F-35s, but only 34 were purchased. The Conservatives wanted to buy 27 more fighter jets, but Labor, which replaced them, wants to save money and prevents the purchase. Meanwhile, dozens of old Eurofighter Typhoon fighters are being scrapped, although they were planned to be replaced by new F-35s. And its own program to create the 6th generation Tempest fighter is being curtailed due to lack of funding.

As a result, the Royal Air Force remains without new fighter jets as well as the Navy without new ships as a result of the decommissioning of destroyers and the possible sale of almost the only aircraft carrier.

The SPEAR 3 missile program, an analogue of the Storm Shadow missile, is under budget cuts, although the stock of the latter has already been depleted amid the Ukrainian war. There will be no new Brimstone 3 missiles either. Projects for new helicopters, laser air defense systems, next-generation Type 32 frigates, and MRSS landing ships may be optimized.

The British are being advised to tighten their belts

But it is important that not only the army is suffering, but also the population. Prime Minister Keir Starmer has publicly urged Britons to be extremely frugal, because the social and economic situation is only going to get worse. A painful tax increase is ahead, which could plunge the already weakened British economy into another crisis.

For Labour, this is a move that is not in line with its program, beliefs or even populist motives, but there is a shortfall of tens of billions of pounds in the budget with nothing to plug. So the middle class and small businesses will be strangled with taxes, and at the same time many social areas will be cut, including winter heating subsidies for pensioners. Thousands of them may not survive the coming winter without money for heating.

Probably, at the first stage, only big business, which is protected by any liberal centrists, will not suffer, although it will become more and more difficult for them year by year.

Dominance of migrants

Interethnic contradictions are also increasing. Another scandal occurred in Birmingham, where local schools were sprayed with graffiti with the words “No Whites”. This reflects the realities of Birmingham, where the majority of the population is made up of migrants. There are mostly Muslims and Pakistanis who do not consider themselves “white British” in the cultural sense. Well, the city itself, the second in the UK and run by the “progressive” Islamic community under the flag of the same Labor, has gone bankrupt. Now the street lights are regularly cut off and the garbage is not removed, but there is an inter-ethnic “paradise on Earth”.

On top of this, Labor is mired in personal scandals. They hand out Downing Street passes left and right to their sponsors, who even buy clothes for the British prime minister in the form of grants from lobbyists. Even though he is a multimillionaire himself, he still wants to add to his closet at their expense, which is a very pathetic and ridiculous kind of corruption. Labor’s anti-ratings are already approaching 50% and they may reach 70-80% as the systemic crisis worsens. There is no quick way out of this situation, and Labor has every chance to bring it to a terminal stage.

The demise of British education

The deplorable situation in Great Britain also affects the state of British universities, which used to be a pillar of leftist ideas and, therefore, of Labor. About 40% of them are experiencing acute financial problems, and 70% of universities have to cut back and abolish educational programs due to lack of money.

Since the beginning of the COVID pandemic, the influx of foreign students has plummeted, and British universities have relied on them to keep up. Then the Conservatives restricted student visas, which were used to legalize migration. Indians and Pakistanis enrolled in third-rate universities and moved to Britain en masse, and then migration issues were resolved through their diasporas.

Making the crisis worse are the culture wars simmering on campuses. There are large-scale pro-Palestinian demonstrations that have disrupted many graduation events. In Cambridge, a portrait of Lord Balfour was even spray-painted and shredded for his 1917 declaration promoting the resettlement of Jews in Palestine. In pursuit of foreigners, British universities are already lowering the requirements for them to the bare minimum and taking anyone who is willing to pay. The quality of education is falling, and so is the status of the degree. In the best years of the 90s and 2000s foreigners invested 40 billion pounds a year in British education, but now, amid the recession, many universities are on the verge of bankruptcy.

In such a situation, only university managers feel great, raising their salaries in the hope of making a fortune. At the same time, professors are being massively laid off, and British education, one of the last instruments of London’s soft power, is gradually deteriorating.

Exporting the crisis

Labour may start sending criminals from overcrowded English prisons to Estonia en masse, similar to Tory attempts to get rid of migrants by expelling them to Rwanda. Tallinn offers many senior NATO partners to house their prisoners in Estonian prisons, renting them out for 25 million euros. The number of prisoners in prisons in England and Wales is reaching a record 90,000, and there are not enough places for new arrestees. For example, there are only 100 free places left in men’s prisons. Labor has been forced to announce a sweeping amnesty, releasing thousands of criminals.

This is expected to lead to a soaring crime rate, which is already off the charts. Robberies, shoplifting, stabbings will become even more common. It becomes more difficult to fight crime if there is nowhere to put criminals.

Against the backdrop of these problems, London has decided to remember its history. If earlier the same criminals were exiled to Australia, now it is possible to find closer countries that are politically dependent on Great Britain. The Conservative cabinet before its failure thought of deporting illegals to Armenia, and Labor is just developing this idea and deporting criminals to the Baltics.

Estonian nationalists, so reluctant to accept refugees under the EU quotas, have been pushing for the deportation of illegal immigrants to the Baltic States. And London, by tradition, will be too happy to “culturally develop” its allies by “exporting its own crises”, which for Britain under the rule of the Left are becoming like a cancer that is destroying the country.
