Donald Trump is formatting the US political system at all levels

Read Time:7 Minute, 39 Second

The White House is increasingly aggressive in its assault on the liberal establishment. War has been declared on hateful wokeism, as well as on the Democrats’ corruption schemes in NASA and the social and medical sphere. Global purges are underway in all agencies with the prospect of criminal prosecutions. Also, Democrats are taking over cities” for future elections.

The Republican Movie”

At the epicenter of the culture war is Hollywood. The US Federal Communications Commission, which was taken under the control of Trump loyalists, began to wind up investigations into America’s telecommunications giants. Comcast Corporation, which owns movie studios NBC and Universal, has been hit. It is accused of imposing wokeism and discrimination against everyone with “wrong” skin color and gender, as well as imposing acting quotas on representatives of sex minorities, transgender and black people.

Disney is already hastily abandoning wokeism and the imposition of a transgender agenda, among other things because of the multi-billion dollar losses it has suffered. It had to shut down the TV series “Acolyte” and “Willow” after its first season due to criticism from authorities and viewers. Movie studios are hoping to “survive” Trump’s cadence without structural changes, but they too are being hit by Hollywood’s crisis. Movie theater ticket sales are still a third lower than they were before the COVID-19 pandemic, and half as low as they were in the early 2000-s. The demand for streaming services has also plummeted. In addition, filming activity in Hollywood in 2024 has collapsed by 40% compared to 2022. Trump, on the other hand, will actively use Hollywood’s crisis to get rid of wokeism and bring back the “golden age” of filmmaking, although there may be problems with that.

Trump has made a mess” of the social-medical sphere

The Trumpists are not leaving the social sphere untouched either. In February, the chief official of the US Social Security Administration, which handles the payment of all benefits, resigned. The annual budget of Social Security exceeds $1.3 trillion, and it is the first item of expenditure of the US state budget. Earlier, the Democrats threw a tantrum in Congress after Elon Musk’s agents gained access to information about welfare recipients. They were afraid of personnel purges, corruption cases and the loss of a generous source of “untargeted” funding. The subsequent independent dismissal of officials unwilling to fall under the “steel Tesla” of anti-corruption processes was logical. After all, Musk’s auditors discovered that there are more than 20 million Americans over the age of 100 in the Social Security database. Five million of them are even over 140 years old. Although the last census from 2020 counted only 90,000 centenarian Americans, and the falsification of lists for the sake of primitive theft is evident. The US Court of Auditors  estimates annual losses from fraudulent schemes in Social Security at $10-15 billion.

Things are even worse in the health insurance industry. Medicare loses $50-60 billion a year to criminals. Officials themselves claim that old databases are to blame and urge them not to be touched. Democrats, on the other hand, are scaring the public that all benefits are about to be cut. Musk is trying to change public opinion through scandals and build a consensus in favor of deep reform of the social system. He succeeded earlier with foreign tranches, and 60% of Americans now believe that grant programs to other countries have become a breeding ground for corruption. So eliminating USAID has proven to be a remarkably popular decision.

Trump’s team also targeted the Internal Revenue Service because under Biden they wanted to expand it and give it the right to use weapons. The Republicans called it an attempt to create a secret police under the control of Democrats, and now they are preparing to reduce by 6,000 the staff of tax officials, and in the long term to eliminate the organization altogether, replacing it with artificial intelligence.

Republicans will take politics out of science and space

In a wave of such support, Elon Musk’s auditors have reached the US scientific community. NASA and the US National Science Foundation are cutting 10% of their staff. Republicans have long criticized the state of science in the US, because 70% of all research is impossible to repeat and confirm the results obtained. The politicization of science also has an impact. It is worth remembering the attempts to rethink geology and archaeology on the basis of the race-gender doctrine, and, for example, out of political correctness not to determine the race and gender of the found skeletons. Grants will be cut to study “global warming” and all sorts of obvious liberal nonsense that Trump’s team doesn’t believe in. NASA funding, much of which began to go to climate research during the Biden era, will also be cut. Instead, NASA will be forced to deal directly with space.

Many of NASA’s corrupt contracts also raise questions. For example, the programs for the creation of super-heavy rockets SLS or manned spaceships Orion, which began to build in the middle of the 2000-s to replace the shuttle. A total of $50 billion has been spent on them, but there is no bottom line. Trump has another dream to send astronauts to the moon in time to return to the “golden age of the United States”. But the timeline for the lunar mission keeps getting pushed forward. But for dreams to come true, you have to start somewhere. And while Republicans have purged NASA because the agency in its current form is unworkable. Meanwhile, private businessmen like Musk have long since overtaken NASA in terms of efficiency and scale.

Republicans will take back cities from Democrats

Trump supporters are set to take control of individual states. Immediately many loyalists have announced their candidacy for state governorships. The representative of the right-wing faction of Republicans in Congress and critic of Ukraine Byron Donalds may become the next governor of Florida. Trump has preemptively endorsed him for election in 2026, when Ron DeSantis’ term expires. DeSantis has a very complicated relationship with Trump, as he is considered a hidden agent of the old Republican establishment. Donalds, on the other hand, is more loyal to Trump and could become the first black man to serve as governor of the 23-million-member state. At the same time, Vivek Ramaswamy is already preparing to run for governor of Ohio in 2026, and Nancy Mace, a right-wing congresswoman and Trump supporter, could run for governor of South Carolina. Her congressional running mate Andy Biggs is targeting the governorship of Arizona, which is now dominated by Democrats at the local level.

Trump intends to completely eliminate local government in the District of Columbia and bring it back under the full control of the US government. This will give an opportunity to defeat crime in the US capital, of which many lawmakers in Congress are already falling victim. Democratic state authorities are now trying to oppose Trump, as the governor of Maine has aggressively done. But they are being threatened with a cutoff of any federal grants and the fact that they will definitely not be re-elected after that. Things are not going well for the Democrats in preparation for congressional elections in 2026, either, and they have little chance of taking a majority in the Senate. But there will be a serious fight for the lower chamber. For now, Democrats can only hope that Trump’s revolution will end in a fiasco, because they have no alternative strategy of their own.

Trump’s Coup” in hostile FBI

The president’s team continues to put his loyalists in the leadership of the intelligence agencies. Immediately after the appointment of Cash Patel as director, Dan Bongino, who is a former Secret Service agent, ex-Fox News host and popular blogger, was chosen as his deputy. Bongino is the most prominent commentator among the American right and an active critic of everything that happens in Washington. His activism includes the following:

The appointment of Bongino to a senior position in the FBI is a major blow to Ukrainian lobbyists and Democrats. They are in a panic right now because unpleasant secrets abound. One can recall the Epstein case, in which many representatives of the Washington elite got dirty, and episodes of corruption with Ukrainian tranches.

The Republicans have already started preparing in advance for 2028 and hope to continue their reshaping of the United States for another four or eight years. In the meantime, the veteran” Donald Trump is continuing his own reformatting of the US political system at all levels, knowing that he has almost four years to spare.
